Volunteer Opportunities

The Lacombe Crab Cook-Off Festival welcomes all non-profit organizations, churches, and community organizations that would like to raise funds for their groups. There are several ways to participate:

Cooking and serving a food or drink item.

Serving a food item purchased from a restaurant or caterer.

Providing volunteers to help in a variety of ways. The 2006 festival paid $14.56 per hour per volunteer! There are many areas where volunteers can be a part of this wonderful community festival. Each shift is 3 hours. There are 7 shifts during the two days of the Festival.

If you have people willing to help us put on a great family festival, your organization will be rewarded for their efforts. Twenty organizations shared in over $40,000, or over $2,000 per group.

All of our volunteers had a great time and we are looking forward to having them back for the 2008 festival. Thank you to all who helped make the 2006 festival a great success.
